Time to lay the bogey That Craven Cottage holds, And to see if just once It´s Cottagers who fold, Psychological nonsense Some probably would say, But in sporting events It has a part to play, And since Worthy´s 0 - 6 And before, come to that, When we grace their home ground We´ve always fallen flat, The last wÃn we managed When on their turf we play, Was in nineteen eighty-six On a fine New Year´s Day, So thirty years almost Have gone since that one-nil, A very lonely high spot Since when it´s been uphill, So surely now it´s our turn To once more taste a win, In that London borough Where points have fallen thin, This year in particular Considering their start, Chances can´t be better To go take them apart, And if we should triumph That monkey then would be, Removed, at least for a while And would bring us much glee, As well as points most useful To help in this year´s quest, Which, as we´re all hoping Is to end as the best. Hear, hear Rbf. Although, as usually occurs with struggling teams, Fulham seemed to have just started to get their act together in time for our visit!
Would love to see us win Fleet, but it is sometimes hard to defy history, which is most definitely on their side, so I´d actually be delighted with a draw, especially as you say, now they´ve slightly picked up of late.
Hi RBF, it must be one of the worst runs in league history and there is no logic to it at all. We have faired better against much better teams, the only other hoo-doos that would rank alongside Fulham would probably be Wimbledom and MK Dons, our records there are pretty awful too.
