To be fair mate, the youngsters who were released graduated the academy so either had to sign a pro contract or leave. Clearly club the felt they'd struggle to command a future let alone be anywhere near good enough for the first team.

We've got a good enough squad mate. Not enough overall quality but good enough to stay up. Just need the man with the right allround formula.

Yeh mate the squad IS. Good enough we just need like you say the correct player playing and that's question who the manager thinks is the correct players.

The peach could be one of ten dozen, we haven't gone after anyone that's employed as I can gather but the bookies have Zola up there amongst the favourites. I will make enemies here but out of the British managers mentioned, I'd go for McLeish simply because of the Aberdeen Academy he built, he's available and one of my favourite ever Safc players Alex Rae says so.. ha ha.. <ok>

Whoever rules at SAFC, whoever manages at SAFC, whoever plays for SAFC, no matter how bad they are, can ever take MY club away from me.
I'm ****ting bricks in case Short brings in a manager I don't have confidence in.
No matter what happens I will still support SAFC.

I wasn't sure about Keane but thought he might kick some arse and instill a winning mentality it worked in spurts, I actually think it was down to his lack of commitment to SAFC that he failed.

I never had confidence in Bruce but still supported my team and left my doubts till the bitter end.

I thought MON would help us turn the corner and step up football wise. He failed on both counts and was taking us down with him.

PDC had the same mentality as me, hard graft and determination from the water carriers and more skill from the footballers. The water carriers won out as they didn't want to graft.

Some of the people mentioned actually worry me.
To be honest I would prefer to be in the Championship playing "football" rather than the dire ****e some of these so called managers dish up to hang on in the premiership.

Am I the only one that wants to see good flowing football at SAFC like we see from other teams?
Rather than hang on in the Premiership at any cost!
(After all I have only been waiting 50 years. :p)

I come from an age where my money through the turnstile paid the players wages and not TV money, paying them obscene amounts and to have no allegiance to my club.

Sorry but I don't see any point in SAFC existing if its not to strive to play in the top flight, as poor and as ****e as it is sometimes. I see no joy in thrashing some team that cant muster 5,000 fans at home 6 or 7 nowt in the championship. None at all.

I'd sooner kick and fight with my dying breath to be a Premiership club over relegation and a meaningless championship campaign. I've had a lifetime of lower league football and I am not prepared to accept that at any point for a club that has aspirations to be a big player and can muster 40,000 fans for home games.

I fear that another humiliating relegation is on the cards this season and it may be the end for a lot of lads. I cant get my daughter interested at all as she already has the opinion at 8 years old that we are just a bunch of losers. Today's generation of would be supporters are simply not going to put up with second rate ****e as we all have for 40 years.

Thats the difference between me and you.
I want to watch football, as I enjoy watching football.
To say there's no football played any where else but the Premiership is a bit disingenuous.
There are teams in the Premiership have **** followings too.
Hanging on to stay in the top flight at any cost is not for me.
I would be ashamed to be tarred like Stoke for their anti-football.
Start playing football and scoring goals and the crowds will be there no matter what.
MON had us playing **** and was taking us down yet you wanted him to stay.

The other difference is that I don't think we will be relegated, same as I never back against my team or write them off after a bad run of games.
