You only have to look at Harry Caldwell moving to a Championship side in Reading (scored for their under-21s the other night) to see that we are not good enough for youth development.

If we do improve the academy then we will be looking at 2030 at the earliest before we can expect to see any decent players of Premiership standard coming through the ranks

Possibly the land Allam was talking about building a new stadium on if the council didn't give him the KC as it would have been part & parcel of the purchase of Hull City

We had an option on a site, but didn't exercise it.

We're about to move the youth set-up to Bishop Burton, it's a great site with great facilities and things are definitely moving in the right direction.

Though bizarrely, when they do move, the youth team will have better facilities than the first team.

Does that mean we hit the criteria to move up into a better youth league?

Regarding Thompson he left in part because of his wife's illness. But it's actually a lot further from home (he lived in East Yorkshire, might have moved now for the job) and he's applied for other jobs at football clubs since which tells you all you need to know.

That's the aim, we still need to sort an indoor facility(which I believe is already in the planning stage), but we should move up a category next season.

Nick moved straight into another CEO job at a telecoms company in Bath.

I know his wife was genuinely ill, but that isn't why he left, he left because he was hung out to dry.

He's a decent bloke and he absolutely had the clubs best interests at heart.

Lets hope we do it tomorrow i think we all know it will be difficult without our regular strikers so lets hope the East stand really gets behind the lads and the rest of the ground as well these chances do not come along very often so like CASTRO says make the most of the moment, Ticket update there are 1346 tickets left in the south stand, upper west 854, lower west 492 and East stand 260 so although it should have been a sell out if you take the total left of 2952 from 25000 then the gate should be around 22000 with sales tomorrow morning. ENJOY AND BACK THE LADS ALL THE WAY TO WEMBLEY

I believe the plan is to build an indoor training facility at Bishop Burton, everything else is already there for us to move up a category. They have great facilities, I played there in the veterans cup final and the outdoor pitch is great and the gym facilities etc are excellent.

Personally, I don't care about our training facilities being outside Hull, I would if we moved our stadium, but we need to improve our academy and this is a great way of doing it.

I am going to the game tomorrow but just can't get excited about getting through to the semi and the reason is that it is at Wembley. Might sound strange but I think it takes the excitement away from a final to play the semi there as well. I think the semi should be played at another neutral ground and then it really would seem like a massive deal to play the final at Wembley. Realistically how many people can afford 2 trips to Wembley in a short space of time.

Yeah, if we get through to the semis I'd have to seriously consider whether I could go to both. If I could only go to one, it a really hard choice. I guess I'd have to miss the semi as going to the semi is like admitting we will lose, and if we didn't I'd miss the final. This may all be academic.

All true but he's looking to get back into football.

Chazz - not sure if you're making out the two are mutually exclusive? He's applied for a job at Rangers among others. In his own words he didn't fit in with the culture at the club.

Quick question lads and lasses..What is your clubs policy about bringing flags into the stadium? I was thinking of bringing mine down, but some clubs, including my own, don't allow flags with poles..
