Hi lads, what's your expectations on the game up at Sunderland. You guys were unlucky not to beat citeh but were terrible vs west brom and gunners. So was wondering what you thought the outcome of the Sunderland game will be.

    Cheers

It'll be a tough game, I think, as O'Neill teams are usually quite hard to beat. We're not in scintillating form as everyone knows, so it's difficult to call. You nailed it in your OP: if the City side turn up then we could get a result; but if our side v Arsenal are the ones who turn up then we will be lucky to get a draw. Normally we're better at home than away, although last season the trend seemed reversed, if anything. All in all, I haven't a f**king clue, TBH!

I'm just hoping Allen is okay and recovers from whatever injury he picked up on international duty (didn't play against Belgium), as I've not heard any specifics. I also hope AJ has a shocker against us, as I'd have loved for us to have signed him. <ok>

CCC-Allen was ill, not injured and as long as its not malaria/aids or something else serious he should be fine for the Sunderland game

Thanks alex, I was concerned, but that's good news. ;)

When you predict an LFC win, Purley, I'll start getting worried about you. Until then: :emoticon-0113-sleep

I'm predicting Liverpool to win 0-9.

Suarez, Lucas Barrios and Drogba each getting a hattrick.

I can see seriously melodramatic headlines featuring "Rodgers", "pressure" and "big club".

2-0 Liverpool. Bound to win one eventually and I dont see a great deal to worry about in Sunderlands team other than Adam Johnson and we'll be up for it after 3 poor results.

No, my bad. Telegraph reported him out of internationals with a thigh strain, 2 days ago. Not sure if he'll be fit enough to feature against us. Knowing our luck, he'll recover, play, and have a cracker! <doh>

Will be a tough, tight game with perhaps only 1 or 2 goals. Would be fairly happy with a draw to be honest, we need to build on something. A point at Sunderland is a good result in honesty, if we keep a clean sheet I think we will nick a 1-0 win.

If Sess and McClean find form they can sometimes be difficult to deal with
This being because McClean goes for it whoever we are playing and Seas is the most skilful player I've seen at Sunderland in a long time

I am worried about Suarez and curious a to how well we do against Agger and Skrtel, wonder how Sahin gets on with Catts....

If we can put away our chances we should win. That is a big 'if' though.

Joey has shingles! Apparently is travelling with Wales for the game next week but is feeling rough as f**k. Not sure if he will be up for Sunderland.

Could be a game for Shelvey then. In good form so not too much of a problem
