Can't see a bloke with a name like that turning out for us. Has to be one of the daftest names ever. There's something about McDonalds as there was a Sherjiill McDonald that WBA had on loan from a Dutch club a couple of seasons ago.

    W. Gardner-Spiers
    Ricardo Ferguson
    Jermaine McSporran

    a few old faves there....................<doh>

A worry is that it is the African Nations Cup next year where we will lose players for a good few games.

So are Villa and Spurs. We seem to be linked with all the players the top teams are after. This is pure speculation and paper talk. We need to be concentrating on players we can afford.

Being Sunderland we'll probably be linked withe every player available and be plagued all summer by poolies constant posts on who we should go for.

Bruce's stated first priority is to see who we can get on Bosmans. thereafter he and Quinny have seemingly already identified the summer targets so speculation is pointless. Sorry Poolie I know there is a lot of good players out there but we need to be realistic.

Young footballers want to be in vibrant lively cities with a variety of quality night life and resturaunts. and play for established Premier league clubs with a consistent and proven track record.

We can't offer this at present.

The press at the moment have nothing to cover in terms of transfers as the window isn't open yet but the hacks know the positions that need looking at after the previous season.

I looked at the NUFC.com press rumours section and it's vast... even for positions we've got quality in depth.

    MMICKEY

We've got The Borough, The Glass Spider and loads of kebab shops and the like.
Just how 'vibrant' do they want?
