He is most definitely a horse that thrives when the sun is on his back. Second in this twelve months ago off 130 and now races off 122 so if bouncing back to anything like his best form he would be pounds in hand.
Missed bigger prices earlier so maybe is well fancied. Very interesting if that support is sustained.

Somebody at BHA Race Planning clearly needs to be getting their P45. Yesterday there were afternoon meetings in pretty close proximity at Newcastle, York and Chester with a lot of small fields at the latter two despite decent prize money. Today there is only one flat meeting, pretty lowly fare at Windsor. Why did they not move one of York or Chester to Sunday? Give it a week and trainers will be moaning about lack of opportunity and the tracks will be moaning about poor attendance figures.

Forget Ryan Moore, start looking for what Padraig Beggy is riding for Aidan O’Brien – his two wins in three years from hardly any rides must put punters well in front to a level stake while Moore is guaranteed to lose money on favourites. :emoticon-0120-doh:

Most of the field in the Grand Prix de Saint Cloud seem to be from these shores. Interesting that Frankie has chosen Coronet over Lah Ti Dar of the two Gosden runners, perhaps because the former has actual form at this level in the book (beaten a nostril by Waldgeist in this race last year weighed down with my money!) whilst the latter really only has a second in the St Leger. Aspetar won a moderate Grand Prix de Chantilly last time (Ziyad second) but chased home Marmelo in the John Porter. Subsequent Coronation Cup winner Defoe was behind at Newbury but Marmelo was well beaten by him at Epsom, as was Lah Ti Dar, when neither handled the track. Thundering Blue is surely out of his depth here although it is a Group 1 is name only. Andre Fabre’s filly Morgan Le Faye comes here after three confidence boosting wins over shorter distances but was placed in the Prix Du Cadran and the Prix Royal Oak (French St Leger) last year over further. With the ground drying in the heat of Paris, this may be the best chance that LAH TI DAR will have of collecting a Group 1; although it is difficult to tell how this race will be run as Frankie may have to set the fractions on Coronet.

well,i like him too,but probably has to up his game again a bit to win this.but gl to you.but i think, the first three in the handicap here, all ran in the swinton in may;are the key players here.i think,PROJECT BLUEBOOK may be the one today,as he ran a massive race in the swinton hurdle, and given his very useful juvenile form 2 years ago, that gives him the edge today.also has plenty of useful form in between to boot.

    Edgbaston: England v India

With Roy back opening, Ginger Tyke let his bat do the talking...
Thank goodness they dropped Moeen Ali, useless with the bat all tournament and a gift 70 runs with the ball.
England need to get rid of Rohit and Kohli cheaply and bowl economically.

    Austria: Red Bull Ring

Did Hamilton deliberately get penalised in qualifying to make this Grand Prix more interesting than the French one?
If the Ferrari does not win this one from pole, someone will have to overtake someone...

the jam man is the obvious one here, but i am not a great fan of backing horses that run again so soon,so i ll take a chance on SILVER MAN,who is very well treated on former exploits, and gave indication,he might be on the way back.good e w value..

OLIVERS GOLD is surely no win machine, but cant be knocked for consistency.has run two good races recently, especially at hexham last time out(where he had ringaringa rosie back in third, winner since),where he was a bit unlucky.has fallen a long way in the weights, and should be very competitive here..

    uttoxeter,4 05 SUMMER CUP

plenty with chances here, but i think,BRAVE EAGLE has a decent chance.still less exposed than some others in this field, and shapes, like this trip will be well within his range.very high mark to conted with, and has to give lots of weight away, but has potential to do even better still..

    finally a winner,what a relief..

    uttoxeter,4 40:

DOUBLE WS and champagne at tara met last time at stratford, with the frmer running out a decisive winner, and no real reason, why the latter should turn the form around, now that the jefferson horse has found a new lease of life.

This horse is the equine equivalent of me - bloody accident prone! He has found trouble now in all his last three runs, today he was hampered at the start, slowly into stride, and found trouble in the last 2f .... one day ....... :D
