Kempton 4.07pm Our fella Top Decision 5/1 win. Currently available with Skybet. Horse is very well and we are expecting a big run.
Really? You would want deep pockets at the price I thought. She usually gets a good look at Silver Streak's grey behind on most going over the last year or two. Edit: mixed up my he's and my she's
Costalotmore 11/4 - Cork 5.30. Blitzed a sleeping field in Listowel at the harvest festival, will hopefully set the tempo again tomorrow to sap the stamina out of On Eagles Wings and I'm not convinced with the Gigginstown runners credentials here. Costalotmore has been a smart horse in his short point and bumper career and he can add to his tally here.
I can see the rationale, It just wouldn't be for me. Getting very well punted as when Oddy put her up she was 6/4... Into 8/11 or so now. Looks like the confidence is there which is a good sign for her supporters.
With the ground in his favour and a hurdles mark of 150 I think my old favourite and cliff horse Sceau Royal looks a cracking bet at 8/1 in the Welsh Champion Hurdle. He has regularly got within a couple of lengths of Altior on good ground over fences and, with the Alan King yard in fantastic form, I think he is set for a big run today.
In the first bumper at Ffos Las there are a couple of interesting newcomers who were due to run last weekend but were non-runners. Honorary Colenel from the Hobbs yard (dam is a half-sister to the very speedy Tetlami) and Lieutenant Henderson's The Bomber Liston. Both should go well
