Micah Richards has been linked to us again in The Mirror today.
Given our problems at right-back, this seems like something of a no-brainer, except for his injury problems.
Homegrown, out of contract, knows the league and would push for a starting place.
    Probably made up, though.

According to the Standard, we're at an impasse with Bentaleb's contract negotiations: the club are offering £25k p/w, which is what Mason is on, while he wants closer to the £40k that Kane, Eriksen and Vertonghen are paid. If there's a grain of truth in it, the club seriously needs to sort this out PDQ - Bentaleb can be integral to the side for years to come.

On the random side of things, we're being linked with a £12m bid for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson. On the one hand hHis scoring stats seem pretty consistent, scoring 19 for Bournemouth in the Championship this season and 21 for Coventry in League One last season, but when you consdier it's possible to get Ings for less than that his price does seem a tad steep.

Could be worse - the main cast of The Simpsons get $400k per episode, and that show's been the drizzling ****s for fifteen years.

Callum Wilson is a talent who is clearly ready for the PL. There have been dozens of scouts watching Bournemouth players over the past 6 months, so it's inevitable certain players will be linked with certain clubs. Any player who has his scoring record will justifiably be valued at around £12m.

I've never been that impressed on the occasions I've seen him but I think that could be partly to do with seeing him during his barren spell. 9 games without a goal, or something like that, makes it very impressive to still get 20 odd goals for the season.

I'll be interested to see what happens with Berahino, I know he's apparently got a bit of an attitude but I really like him as a player. Looks like Benteke's going to be out of our league again but with Kane progressing so incredibly I guess we don't really need to be thinking about a big money out and out striker.

Poch makes a joke about how there's always a place at Spurs for Gareth Bale if things don't work out at Factitious...and naturally it's reported by Talkballs that he's on our summer spotting list.

It's just a shame that nobody quoted what I said a couple of months ago, which suggests there could be feasible ways - unlikely as hell, but still feasible - to have Bale in a Spurs shirt next season: http://www.not606.com/threads/summer-transfers.293573/page-3#post-7710030

It would be very unlikely in any case, I think, but the breakdown in relations between Spurs and Real... What I would really like this transfer window is the purchase of a future star or three in the 18-22 age range.

On the unlikely purchase from a big club front, how’s about Janusai (sp) from Man U? I wouldn’t mind us making a nice, insultingly low bid for Di Maria as well :emoticon-0130-devil.

Inter look set to miss European football next season. Worth a punt on Kovacevic?

Kovakic would be a pipe dream signing for me, I think if he was to move he'd be out of our price and wage range though as a result of the other clubs who would be interested. He looks a fantastic player with so much in his locker though.

Kovacic would certainly fit into our wage structure, as his wages are (depending on who you ask) £37.5k/£43k per week - although with four years on his contract he won't be cheap. Similarly irritating, Marcelo Brozovic is a player we were linked to frequently last year, but Inter signed him in January - on an 18-month loan deal, and I'm going to hazard a guess and say trying to get Dinamo to end the loan deal so we can sign him will be a touch illegal.

Januzaj can be exciting to watch but much like with Mirallas, I'm opposed to us signing a serial diver.

If we were to go for a UTD player (in part exchange for Lloris ) I would love to see Chiquarito come to Spurs. Definitely available and affordable-and used to bench warming.

Various reports claim Nigel de Jong is out of contract in the Summer, if that's the case, I wouldn't mind him at Spurs if Schneiderlin proves too expensive or is swayed elsewhere. I know he picks up a lot of cards but he's a good DM in my opinion and would add a bit of backbone to the side.
