Yeh I guess the verification doesn't need to happen until we get to opening day and we see what squad we've got and how good these players are.

Vanat is a risk, but I'm okay with taking that risk as I really believe Mayenda is PL ready. Get a good right winger and a CB in and we're flying.

I need a centre mid as well please. My one slight nagging fear is that we're spending big in other positions because our new centre mid is an ageing free transfer from Ajax.

Yes but they'll look a bit different, you could have the left forward, left wing back and left centre mid (for example) have neat interplay.

I want Alan Browne gone (sorry Al) so that the gap in the squad opens up for an additional midfielder beyond the Jobe replacement.

 

Honestly I really liked Vanat. Their side seemed a bit disjointed which hurts attackers but overall he looked solid. Any big purchase is always a risk though

 

Reading between the lines, if the fee is out there then it must just be the payment structure they are negotiating, hopefully anyway

I trust others' views on Vanat much more than my own as I've seen very little and didn't watch him in the u21s.

Only reason I'm less excited about him than the others is probably because I think we already have two premier league quality strikers but, in my opinion, have zero premier league quality right wingers or centre backs. (Ballard close)
