    I know Xhaka is likely on close (or over) 100k per week but I can't see us being able to afford Akanji? He'll be on lots more wont he?

    Gala won’t be matching that.

    His national team captain being our captain definitely gives it a shot.

    As mentioned above though looks like the salary is impossible.

    That said. We categorically wouldn’t be relegated with a signing like that.

    I wouldn't say we wouldn't be categorically relegated at any stage at the minute.....however I would say that the gap,as you say,would be considerably widened!

    Akanji still walks into most PL teams best Xl’s, convinced Gala are giving him a pay rise to go there. He would have much better options if he was willing to take a cut

    A winger is important imo. IMO RLB doesn’t rate Roberts so using him when the others go to AFCON with some massive games isn’t for me
