This will go one of two ways now. Coutinho was so important for Liverpool and people thought that was them set back another few years but they reinvested the money superbly and kicked on again.

That could happen for them lot but Eddie Howe is no Jurgen Klopp, so more than likely they’ll sign a few average players and won’t be anywhere near as good this season.

I also don't see how they can sign anyone remotely close to Isak in terms of what he brings to that team

They cant in short what they can do is strengthen other areas, however there midfield is pretty set so maybes defense

They can’t replace him like for like, but what they can do is bring in a couple of top players and change the style so they aren’t relying so much on one player.

With a genuine elite manager they could make it work. They haven’t got that though, so…

It’s nice just to see them put back in their box, tbh. Now they understand regardless of the Saudis and billions and billions, they’ll always be a feeder club where the best players will use them to step up to the top level.
