I don’t think we’re after Cresswell. I actually think we’re relatively happy with Ballard, Seelt and O’Nien competing for RCB. I reckon we’ll invest heavily in a LCB and only look at a loan late on if we need another CB.
Cracking article this. The kind I’d have expected somewhere like the athletic rather than in house by the club: https://www.safc.com/news/2025/july...FfHi2Y5CO6jN__CnYY_aem_-k2F_tnLBsphajx1xehn3Q
I think I’d agree but I think it’s more likely to be late for the second as we obviously rate Ballard and Seelt.
Nice read!. When I see stuff like this my mind takes itself back to one particular game. It seems like eighty years ago. It's around five! Home against Gillingham, 2-1 up, with minutes to go. A grey jumpered Parkinson on the touchline, not telling his players to keep the ball and attract fouls from Evan's thugs, but yelling and waving at them to boot the ball down into the wings. Let them have it in other words. We did, often. From the last such idiotic punt, they boot the ball up into a box loaded with nightclub bouncers and score with the last kick . How have we travelled so far, so fast?
Don’t think he tries to get digs in but he genuinely cried tears of joy live on tv when the mags were taken over
I think I’d rather stick with the 3 we have. Abdullahi has got two weeks to show he can step up to RLB and he just might do it
