So how would you feel if we started the season with Ballard and Cresswell as the two starting CB’s? Its a no from me.

 

Id be quite happy, we would have to play a little bit deeper but I don't mind that at all. I'd play narrow and force teams to either risk playing through us, using mobile CMs like ELF and Diarra to make that really difficult, or teams to play wide against us. If teams play wide you then want players like Cresswell and Ballard defending the box, you effectively say to teams cross the ball if you dare as we have 2 dominate CBs

I think we will play deep and try and counter so whilst pace would be nice I don't think it'll be the be all if they are a good defender, first yards are in the head
