Craig Brewster 48yrs old has joined Argyle as Assistant Manager....he has had a successful playing career as a striker...and has worked with Adams before.

That list is hardly what you would can exciting is it. Pre-season used to be miles better than that but I guess all the prem prima donna outfits do tours of Asia and the like these days. Can't be arsed with the little sides at home anymore.

Do you know what? I'm getting well and truely bored now. Every day I switch on with the expectation we have signed somebody, anybody, but still no sign. Every other club and it's dog have signed somebody except Argyle. I don't want then to rush in for the first player in the alphabet but you would have thought there would have been some news by now. Every damned closed season seems to be the same for us. No news until every other club has a full book.

Well they bleddy well should then. We waited what seemed ages for Sheridan to tell us he was pushing off and then what seemed ages, I know it wasn't, for a new name above the door who hardly anyone had heard of and now ages for a signing. Since the euphoria of a play off place it's all gone flat. I just want something to grab the attention for a few days to keep interest going.

Dougie Anderson who played 22 times (1 goal) for Argyle in 1987, has died of an heart attack at the age of 52.

Thanks for that plym. A death always livens the place up.

I read that one and it's no age is it. Not one of our greatest players if honest but he was at least one of ours. Shame.

Concerned that our players who have been offered new contracts have not signed up yet....isn't Hartley one of them.

I always buy my season ticket early like a plonker.

Hartley is still under contract I believe.

I think I read that Adams preferred formation is 4:3:3 so we may have a surplus of centre backs assuming contracts are renewed:

    Nelson - under contract
    McHugh - under contract
Purrington - under contract (assuming his natural position is CB)

O' Connor - offered new terms (maybe better in centre midfield but nominally a defender)
Hartley - his option to stay

If it's 4:3:3, one from O'Connor and Hartley is probably enough.

I want all of the back set up to remain. I think they were pretty decent last term and there is no need to look elsewhere or break it up. I want to see midfield strengthened and not much else to be fair. If we had a midfield last season we would have gone up. Sign 3 in that position and I will be happy.

    They don't do stands Plym.

Dpn't think we particularly need another striker. I'd be quite happy with the ones we have if Harvey is included.

I don't agree sensible....we need to replace Alessandra...we have no one in the squad who can step into his boots....we have no loanees who filled the gap last year.

When Adams starts to bring in players they need to be good ones.....Portsmouth,Luton and even Wycombe seem to have strengthened their squads, we'll get left behind.
