Why should it be any different for Huw than for a player ? If Huw was wanted by Man United and could double his income I'm sure he'd be gone as well.
Dramatic twist to Ashley Williams transfer!! the club have turned down the Everton offer!!.Huw has woken up, hell that's good news............... But it emerged late on Tuesday that Swansea had moved to bat away Everton's £10m bid – with the club stressing they have never looked to sell one of their most vital players. A Swansea spokesman said: “Ashley Williams is an important part of our squad and club and we are not looking to sell him, and therefore we have turned down the offer currently on the table.” At last some common sense, £10 Million was derisory, if they want him that bad let them cough up £20 Million......... You'd verbally agreed the terms, the player had agreed terms with us. Now you've moved the goal posts, it happens, but it's snide. I expect you're trying to get a few more quid out of us and see him hand in a transfer request in order to avoid any loyalty payments.
At least we'll get a better deal out of it. £10 million would have seen us mugged right off. If we can get £15 million plus, and use that for a quality replacement then great.
