    And it finishes 1-0.

Not sure what I learned from that.

The goal was an awful error: not sure if he missed his kick altogether or whether he sliced it into the net.

They probably just edged it overall but we had good spells and good touches.

Lots of youngsters on show: all of them can be proud of themselves I think.

It wasn’t all our fault by any means but discipline will have to be better. The ref was very forgiving but they won’t be in the league.

    OUTGOING.

Al Hajj leaves for Danish club....Silkeborg IF.....and undisclosed fee....but it is being suggested that it was less than we paid for him.

Comments about the OG that Argyle gave away......Brendan Galloway back passed it to trialists.....Luca Ashby-Hammond....who miss kicked it straight into the net......surely there are other keepers around who we can offer a contract to.

Ps.....Thanks for the game link notDistant.....camera rather low down so not a great view of the game.....an awful lot of strange faces in green yesterday.

One bizarre error does not make him a bad keeper. He did make a couple of decent saves, including a tip over the bar from a powerful shot in the second half.

The.pitch looked OK from a very low camera angle but maybe it was a bobble.

One thing about keepers is that mental strength is almost as important as ability. Unlike outfield positions, mistakes are invariably fatal and very public, so it’s how you recover…..

    Cleverley post match:
    1. Disappointed good quality going forward on the training pitch didn't come through to the match.
    2. Too many unforced errors.
    3. Good defensively: high intensity.
    4. We lack stature to play the long ball but have good players 1 on 1. We didn't commit to that fully.
    5. Important thing is to peak in the first league game. Maybe some pain getting there and this was part of it.
    6. 60/30 minute pattern will be reversed in Argyle's next game to manage pre-season fitness. There will then be an 11 v 11 in house game before the focus turns to preparing for Barnsley.
    7. Pleased with the trip overall, good venue. Players will have 2 days off on return to UK.
The interviewer noted that this was the 4th pre-season game for Braunschweig.

The interview is on Argyle TV to which I have a subscription. Can you se it? If so, I won't waste my time doing this!

Just been reading that Middlesboro might be interested in Bali Mumba as a defender.

I'm not quite sure what strengths they see in Mumba as a defender.....he hasn't always been outstanding in our own penalty area.

His pace and manoeuvrability in tight spaces make him an asset on the attack. I can replay that goal against Ipswich in my mind!

He just doesn't have the mindset of a defender though. He can operate as a wing-back in a back 5 if you're the dominant team (as we were in 2022/23 for example) but not as a full back in a 4.

They've got to leave some players from last season. It will take me till the end of the next one to remember all of the new faces so far.
