Still looking a mix and match sort of a side.
If Chambers isn't available for the first game, why did he play 90 today?
    No Lawlor.
Bagan not at LB, but came on as a sub at CB for Fish.
Hoping there is nothing wrong with Davies. Came on as a sub and was then substituted.
As I thought, Salech and Robinson not on the field at the same time.
It'll be interesting to see B B-M's first starting 11 next week.

I know it's a friendly, it was highlights and there were lots of changes plus a few absences but I have to say it was not impressive.

Not much evidence of BBM''s possession football and lots of gaps at the back. Their 2 goals looked stopable.

I know BT went so perhaps he can further enlighten us.

We have to hope BBM knows his best 11 with the first game only a week away.

    Robertson's injury looks nasty.

You’ve got to take these types of games with a pinch of salt. More substitutions than an egg chasing test match. Until we see them play a competitive game it’s all speculation.

We’ll know a lot more after Saturday.

That's been a big problem in the recent past. Buying peripheral players just to "pad out" the squad like Tsunoda and Simic hoping they'll come off rather than potential first team starters.

Other "projects" like Etete and even Daland to an extent have proved failures. Willock has proved to be wholly inneffective and I'm also not convinced by Robertson despite his "pedigree" at Man City. The recent club player aquisitions look like a wish list rather than sound judgement.

It was my first visit to Meadow Lane for what must be about 52? years. Nice ground, friendly locals. The Forest stadium looks huge by contrast. The club, since last season, no longer produces programmes, but I did manage to get a team sheet in the club shop for the princely sum of 20p !

I think we can see how BBM wants us to play and this was evident in our attacking play particularly down the left hand side creating opportunities for Salech and Robbo. However I always worried when Notts were attacking as gaps seemed to open up in our defence eg. Their second goal. I don't see a commanding defence or midfield and this will be testing for us when the season starts for real next week.

Notts played a bit more aggressively in second half and their player was booked for the foul on Robertson which hopefully looks worse than it is, but I take the point about the size of shin pads.

With the price of unappetising looking pies at £7.50, I gave the grub a miss and waited until Strensham services on the way home.

Interestingly, when I arrived at Strensham (the main wave of city fans had passed through by then) the Jack's U21 ? squad were there for a break and 10 minutes after they left the City team arrived looking very smart in their training gear. Some of the players, including BBM chatted to a Bluebird family sat near the food outlets. Interestingly, none of the players went to the McDonalds, most queued at the Chinese noodle place. BFB that's where I've been going wrong!

    Bring on Peterborough!

If my memory is right, not guaranteed, it was £500k. Can't be arsed to go back 3 years to check.
