Not the TV show. I haven't had need for a 3 piece in the last year and appear to have put enough weight on to make wearing any of my current suits make me look like a fat lass in a leotard.

Anyone live in a sort of 20 mile radius of Newcastle who can recommend the best place to buy men's suits? Don't want to spend any more than around £250 ideally.

There's a good independent tailor at the top of North Rd in Durham mate.

Greenwoods in Sunderland, just opposite Debenhams specialise in suits and I have always found the staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Is that near Yates's? Someone's mentioned one up that end to me as being decent.
I'll be in Sunderland this weekend so will be a good chance for me to check that one out, thanks mate.

Alternatively you could pop into Debenhams who also have a decent selection on the ground floor.

I have a couple of suits from Debenham's but never found them the most comfortable. Having a peek on their website now and it seems they are offering some slightly pricier options now so I will definitely pop in and have a look at the metro. <ok>

Never understood why any ****er would want a waistcoat I wouldn't even wear one to play snooker in a pitch black room. I'd be too embarrassed.

I shop for my work suits from Next. Reasonably priced and never had any complaints about quality and sizes.

Have to say I'm partial to a waistcoat at a social event, hardly ever leave my jacket on and looks better than just a shirt and tie imo.

Haha. i think it mainly comes down to not wanting my tie to be loose and flapping around when I embarrass myself on the dancefloor! <party>

    Slater opposite Newcastle Central Station.

Bought one there last year, I expect it will see me out!

Suits for me from Next if they're for work, normally they'll get binned after 3-4 months, **** a waistcoat though, I'd sooner wear a ****ing bra.

For dinner events, nothing but made to measure for me, wouldn't wear a work suit to any social event, they're just two completely separate things in my wardrobe.

£250 - I'd go to Cheshire Oaks outlet in Chester probably but that's no use to your hippy arse.

Ha, some people spend money on other clothes mate, my wardrobe is fairly sparse when I look at my casual wear... Like I own just 3 pairs of jeans at the minute. I buy suits more although with all my money committed to the wedding last summer I need a re-stock.

Trainers are a killer for me, I hate wearing what other people wear so I can never find a pair I like, when I do they're normally £200+

One thing I have and will never own is a shiny blue suit... No. JUST NO!
