Oh my lord...not sure if this video has already been posted....The Guardian asked some of the Liverpool fans after the game what they thought of the bite: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/video/2013/apr/22/liverpool-fans-suarez-biting-video I know it's not a complete view of what Liverpool fans think, but if that's the general consensus it just shows how blind they are when it comes to Suarez and how they think everyone's out to get them & him. They'd rather think there's a conspiracy....they even blamed Ivanovic "as he must have had a go first".....
I get the impression that a large number of Liverpool fans' think they are being victimised. Their paranoia is very much in evidence. Suarez is seen as crucial to their team achieving any kind of success, and consequently they will put up with any kind of behaviour from him, because he's seen as doing it for the team. The more mature, sensible fans' feel he has gone too far,but are not ready to ditch him since his value to the team is enormous. I doubt he will play again this season, and the ban may well go into the early games of next season. Rodgers' statement that "no player is bigger than the Club" is in tatters, since Suarez clearly is.
Agree Libertarian. The annoying thing is any ban he gets I can just see the Liverpool fans screaming it's them being victimised again because they're not Man Utd or Chelsea.....It gets old fairly quickly and everyone keeps talking about Liverpool's proud traditions of being sportsmanlike and honourable, but I'm having trouble remembering a time when that was true. They are turning themselves into a bit of a hated club when they used to be many people's 2nd team.
Liverpool's reputation has been sullied by Suarez, and the blinkered views from The Kop,and beyond. They are yesterday's team, and they are having a real problem dealing with that.
I'd still have him on my team. He just needs to be helped to smarten up. Watch the Liverpool Rogers video series ... He's actually not that bad a character.
Win at all cost.? a brilliant but truely flawed character and yes a match winner but not someone I'd want in a white shirt .imo
Why can't anyone discuss Liverpool without you claiming its a love in ? Face it Dai this is a football thread , Suarez is utter disgusting scumbag , to say otherwise just shows how blinkered they are. There is no place for biting anyone, people are entitled to air their views
i have already said that but the question was should liverpool get rid of him and most say no way as he is far to good a player and worth millions to liverpool.......Its stupid what he has done and he needs help with his anger....
Well it didn't really surprise me, this guy is the pits, there is nothing to like about the cretin, hope he gets at least an 8 week ban!....
"Having reviewed the video footage and spoken to Luis, his behaviour is unacceptable and I have made him aware of this," said Reds manager Brendan Rodgers. Ian Ayre, the Premier League club's managing director, added Suarez's behaviour did not "befit" that of a Liverpool player. "Luis is aware that he has let himself and everyone associated with the club down," said Ayre. If your manager and managing director state those facts, then no one else is in a position to argue.
It should be at least a 7 league ban, to remain consistent with the Dutch FA. However, given that this is the second time he has done it, maybe the ban should be extended by a few more games.
Fa dont have the bottle, Suarez, pleaded guilty to violent conduct but disputes that it should carry any more than a 3 week ban. My guess the Fa will double that, so i reckon that bunch of ****houses will give the scumbag a 6 week ban.
It's strange how Liverpool will always scream that Man U get unfair treatment when Cantona and Rio have both had such extended bans.
Suarez is contesting that the ban shouldn't be more than 3 matches , with support from Carragher this may not turn out to well for the clubs reputatiion Th FA can't (but will) consider his previous attempts at snacking as it came under the Dutch FA jurisdiction.
