In an astoundingly dumb move, which is all about money and clearly goes against the interests of both clubs and their fans, our game against West Ham has been moved to a Monday. It would be a bad move in any normal season, but after their delightful behaviour in the reverse fixture at WHL, tensions are bound to be heightened. Do the authorities and the Sky mob not learn? I'm sure that we all remember what happened when that lot played Millwall in the evening a few years ago. None of us would like a repeat of those scenes.
Sky is a Murdoch company. As such their only considerations will be financial ones. Putting it bluntly, they couldn't give a toss about the clubs, the players, or the fans. They'll do whatever they think is commercially expedient.
Does it matter when the return is? its destined to be a ****ty build up to that game whenever its scheduled.
Don't evening games generally mean less time to drink, for most people? When I've been to midweek evening games I've had to leave work early just to get there on time, whereas Saturday games people tend to drink from lunch time, if not before. I know weekend evening games have caused problems in the past, but surely it's fine during the week, or do none of the Spammers have jobs?
West Ham fans have jobs? I assumed they all spent allday drinking and watching Jeremy Kyle, smoking mayfair and drinking speical brew.
Talking about clueless and classless seeyounexttuesdays,I noticed some Arsenal nuts have a headline attached to their comments:- Even with Nicholson,Blanchflower,Mackay etc Spurs were still in Arsenal's shadow. by J.Greaves. I assume there must be another J.Greaves in the country! I can't imagine anyone saying something stupid like that against possibly the best club side of the last century (unless you like red and come from Woolwich!)
They say it is a quote of his - not that I have ever seen it. Prefer this one "The biggest regret of my whole football career was leaving White Hart Lane in 1970. My interest weakened after that. I was heartbroken.
i am a huge Greavsie fan and i have never heard him say that,it's load of bollocks imo, when he comes to Andover again, i will ask him if he said that
He brings his one man show to the lights theater and you get the oppotunity to meet him before the show on a one to one basis for a chatand to have your photo taken with him and a poster he sign's in front of you'i also got him to sign his autobiograhy,i took along.
You're lucky there, because when I went to see his one man show, they were charging something silly like 50 quid extra for the opportunity to meet Jimmy before the show.
Ask him this one, Tots. I'm pretty sure he once said this. He was asked what his secret was to scoring so many goals. He replied something like this.." Well, the goal is 8ft high and 8yds wide. There's only one goalkeeper - I just pass it into the empty bit" advice that a few of today's strikers would do well to take!..
......and they think Messi is someone special!Jim did exactly the same as Messi without breaking into a sweat!!!!!
