Eire, insurance only pays out if the player is forced to retire. So we'll be paying his wages until he gets back to playing and will probably only then be able to agree to let him go as nobody wants to buy him. In other words we'll be paying him off.
You've gotta feel for Nunez, the lad really hasn't had the best of luck. TBH, I was surprised no one was willing to take a punt on him in the window. I know he's lightweight but in the right role in the middle of the park, he could be a game changer. He did really well at Scunny IIRC.
I also feel sorry for him. I also think that there must be something in the insurance policy to cover what will clearly be a lengthy lay off.
