Don't clubs have insurance to cover such eventualities

Eire, insurance only pays out if the player is forced to retire. So we'll be paying his wages until he gets back to playing and will probably only then be able to agree to let him go as nobody wants to buy him. In other words we'll be paying him off.

You've gotta feel for Nunez, the lad really hasn't had the best of luck. TBH, I was surprised no one was willing to take a punt on him in the window.

I know he's lightweight but in the right role in the middle of the park, he could be a game changer. He did really well at Scunny IIRC.

I also feel sorry for him. I also think that there must be something in the insurance policy to cover what will clearly be a lengthy lay off.

This issue yesterday was he was carrying a lot of extra weight. He just collapsed unchallenged on the edge of the box.

Didn't Grayson give him a 4 year contract? He has probably completed about one year of that now??

Thats right yea. It was about the same time as Ken tried claiming a victory for his cheap transfer policy, saying he'd signed nunez for free when he was worth £10mil!!!!
