I know this isn't going to be the most popular thread in the world, but does anyone know how far in advance of a game the best time is to buy tickets on stubhub ?
Don't know but if you go on twitter and follow Hotspur Tickets people put their spares on there at face value. They have been going since the beginning of last season with few complaints. They have been running an anti stubhub thing this season.
Might be cutting it fine if you try and get a ticket from stubhub. Tickets go on stubhub once the game is sold out I believe. I might a spare for west ham going ....
Appreciate the heads up on that mate, but at this stage I don't know where I'll be then. There are tickets on Stubhub for Sunday, but they're all about £75 and I was wondering whether it might get a bit cheaper if I waited til tomorrow
This liasion with StubHub is a ghastly PR own goal by the club. Having shouted loudly a number of years ago of a club initiative to "Out the Tout"', we then proceeded to exploit our own fans by jumping into bed with Thomas Cook whereby we sold tickets at inflated prices under the excuse they came with an overnight stay at a local hotel. Now we have gone to a new low by encouraging our own fans to rip off their fellow supporters with this new arrangement. Once the game has become a sell out, then s/tkt holders can charge what they want to sell their ticket if they can't make the game. As an example of the loopholes in this system, a £39 ticket for the Swansea game was advertised at £135. Furthermore, after allowing for StubHub's commission from any sale and also THFC' cut, to get face value for say a £40 ticket, means asking a sale price of just under £50. No great increase you may say, but that assumes the seller is being sensible. Sadly, early signs are not encouraging as the club has been literally inundated with complaints from fans about this apparent exploitation. Another unsavoury downside of this scheme, is that if for whatever reason a s/tkt holder wishes not to renew, then it is not in their best interests to do so, as they can merely buy one, pay it off by selling the Category A games for which there will always be demand and thus cover their costs. Members meanwhile will be encouraged to pay a hike on their renewals to either keep their place on the season ticket waiting list, or join it, the reality being that the new system might well be slowing this queue down. Anyway, good luck in your quest for a ticket for tomorrow.
Couldn't agree more, SC. I hope somebody at the club has the good sense to put a stop to it, as our tickets are expensive enough as it is. Really poor decision.
guys, with stubhub it says that you should collect your ticket 3 hours before kick off. does anyone know if that is a maximum of 3 hours before, or a minimum of 3 hours before, or exactly 3 hours before ?
a lot will have missed kick off. I queued for an hour from about 2.15. at 3.45 the queue was longer than when I joined it.
