Right other then Nugent and Wood as they have proved their quality countless times this season. But after them the other have all been very inconsistent

Jamie Vardy started the season very well. He was scoring goals, making a nuisance of himself and setting a few up. But since then he offers very little other then effort. His 2nd touch is a tackle, he snatches at chances, gets knocked off the ball very easily and does very little when he is on the ball.

Martyn Waghorn had the run in the side before Christmas and did very well and was probably our best player. He got himself a couple of goals and hit the woodwork about 5 times. He looked like the Waghorn of old. Then he had his appendix removed and during his recovery we signed Chris Wood he took his chance and Waggy lost his place. When Waggy has played since he looks like he did at the start of the season. I think to get the best out of Waghorn he needs to start every week. It will take 2 or 3 games before he starts to perform and we cant afford that

Marko Futacs has had very few chances and when ever he has played he has looked decent. He seems a pointless signing as Nigel seems very reluctant to play him

Jeff Schlupp has played 1 game as a striker all season in that game against Burton. Since then he has only played left back and now he finds himself at Manchester United on trial. He scored alot of goals at youth level and had a very good loan spell at Brentford. He scored a few goals under Sven last season but everytime he had a decent run in the side he got injured and then the form of Nugent and Beckford kept him out of the side

Between them they have scored 10 goals this season with which isnt good enough considering the amount of games they have started (Mainly Vardy)

So do we pray to god nothing else happens to Nugent or Wood. Does Nigel hope one of them steps up when they get the chance or do we enter the loan market for a striker?

I'd Give Futacs a chance.......he's never let us down when he has come on.

Pearson paid nothing for him so cannot lose face if it doesn't work out.....Vardy however was a massive gamble and Pearson is stubborn and doesn't want to be proved wrong that Vardy is just not a championship striker!!! (Yet anyway)

Come on Nigel....do what is best for the club and stop picking your "favourites" when they are clearly out of form.

The best thing we can do for Vardy is loan him out to a league 1 club for a month or 2. Let him get some games and hopefully some goals and then bring him back for the run in.

Think Nige will rest a few for the cup replay - today may have been 'good' in that it will have got rid of any thoughts of complacency

A good point Filberto, a kick up the backsides, but luckily not lost 2nd space. We re group and go again in the race to the finish line.
