Do we have enough strength in depth to cover injuries to our first teamers instead of relying on Reserves that are not good enough?

Try and look at every one of our starting 11 yesterday and ask yourself who would replace each of the starting 11 if anything happened to them and would the replacement be up to the job?

I actually think we have a very small squad which does concern me if we were to pick up a few suspensions of injuries.

Macca, Pusic, Stewart, Oli should all be back in the next few weeks!

Evans is tidy enough should Korens injury rule him out for a few weeks, he played well when he came on against Peterborough and being dropped should have motivated him a little. I know he's not regarded as a good performer but Harpers available and he did start around 30 games last season.

    For Donny

    Basso
    Rosser Chester Hobbs Dudge
    Brady Cairney McKenna Waggy
    Fryatt McLean

Bench; Gulasci, Harper, Adelebola, Barmby, Evans

I think we are quite well off to be honest if eeryones fit except for defence. Plenty of depth up front with fryatt, McLean, waghorn, adebola and barmby. Plenty on the wings Stewart Brady pusic koren, barmby and waggy can play there and devitt to recall. Cm we have cairney, McKenna, Evans, oli, koren can fit there and harper. It's just defence where we are lacking IMO.

I don't think we are too bad, i could name at least 2 players for every position. Like Midlands says defence is the slight worry with Daws injured and any injury to Chester/Hobbs leaves us short, but hopefully Macca will be back soon to ease that potential headache.

The only thing that worries me though when we pick up a midfield injury it gives the prospect of Harper pulling on a City shirt in the first team again which gives me nightmares !!!

Although you and Midlands make valid suggestions on the cover within the squad, I just hope Macca and Oli are given a chance.

Mainly the defense which concerns me, I haven't seen the youngsters ie East/Bradley play but from what I've heard I'd rather we didn't risk them just yet. We'd have been alright for cover if we brought in Ayala but all it takes is for a defender or two to feel jaded and we're screwed.
