Everton set for transfer scrap with Sunderland and Reading over Icelandic striker HOW DID WE GET HERE , I WONDER, NOTHING TO DO WITH JOURNALISM I SUPPOSE. http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...nsfer-scrap-sunderland-and-reading-over-icela Everton are on the trail of young Icelandic striker Bjorn Sigurdarson, but will face stiff competition from Sunderland and Premier League new boys Reading. The 21-year-old Lillestrom ace is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Scandinavian football and is destined for one of Europe’s elite leagues. Sigurdarson recently broke into the Icelandic national side and was last year linked with Fulham and Bolton. Their interest has since cooled but Everton boss David Moyes has now earmarked the youngster to spearhead the Toffees attack alongside Nikica Jelavic, who has been a revelation since joining from Rangers in January. Everton are set to face competition for Sigurdarson's signature, however, with Sunderland and Reading also considering making a move this summer, while Bundesliga sides Hannover, Stuttgart and Werder Bremen are also in the hunt.
I thought the transfer window did not open until July. The only way you can get him before is on a pre-contract agreement
