I was just on BBC Sport, trying to look at the latest Leicester news. I clicked on the Championship table, hovered the cursor over 7th, and went down to the bottom. Couldn't find us, I thought "Where are we!?". Then I remembered we are all the way up in second haha It's been a long time since we've been this high, still not used to it!
I remember the opposit a few seasons ago. I´d click on SKY SPORTS championship table & we were no where in the top half to be seen, only when I scrolled down did I find LC... in about 17th place. I hate change but that´s 1 change I´m happy with. "COME ON ENg-er-lu....." I just can´t get excited about international football these days. Roll on Brum.
The worst was when *whispers* we went down to League One It took me weeks to stop clicking on Championship every time! I am the same, just can't get excited about England.
didnt realise you won promotion after 10 games , its a long season boys you have achieved sod all yet !
AKCJ easy mate - Try to be a bit more welcoming - We don't get many Hull fans on here since we started doing well
Fettis ,as a die hard LCFC supporter I know that through following my team for about 45yrs I now resemble something more akin to the Churchill Dog than a human being , in that I've seen more ups & downs than I wish to remember ! However , not since the MON days have I been so optimistic about my teams realistic chances of reaching the prem ! I also think that this season the manager ,players, club owners & us fans realise that this has to be our season because IMHO. if promotion is not achieved , then we could have a BIG problem .with the break up of the most exciting set up I have ever witnessed at the club.... ie manager sacked = fans revolt (turn on board or each other ) board move on ,club in debt up to it's ears ,best players sold to pay debts followed by administration or Pompey 2 ! Which is why there is a togetherness that although was evident in the MON era ,was more prolific in the Micky Adams promotion season - So , yes ,we are optimistic ,indeed some might say overly considering there's only been 10 games played but the scenario's are very similar to those era's... Of coarse I may be totally wrong & it's only my opinion but I know a fewof my fellow fans concur with what I'm trying to stress ! If you also go back a few threads/Posts on your own board ,there is quite a few of your own fellow supporters bleating on about HCAFC's impending promotion after a three game unbeaten run ! but that's footy ,that's why we follow our teams cos we dream of the ultimate in the present domestic game....... Otherwise what's the point ? We could just resign ourselves to being German P.E teachers !!
I prefer to say almost a quarter of the season gone (sounds better lol) Very early days though as we all know and no one is getting carried away. Purely enjoying our fine run of form and the exciting attacking brand of football that big nige has us playing. All very encouraging indeed. Long overdue after the last few dismal seasons. Hopefully this will continue after the international break and we will remain consistent. If we are there or thereabouts at Xmas/New year, I'm sure our owners will dip into their deep pockets to allow Pearson to bring in a couple of premiership quality signings to help us for that final push.
Have you actually read any of this thread? Talk about hearing what you want to hear (/reading what you want to read) Are you just wishing that we're all like that, so if we fall down the league, you can come on here and try to laugh at us for thinking we'd got promoted after 10 games? For the record, I definitely do not think we have already won promotion, I am just happy that we are currently up in 2nd. Of course it means nothing now, but we couldn't win 2 games in a row last season, and now we've won 5, so that must mean something. I would ask if you were happy where you are, but to be honest, I don't really care... It is funny though how you've been all over here pre-season, we put a bit of form together, and BOOM you're off quicker than you can say Anthony Knockaert.
Charles were nearly a quarter of the way through the season Surely your poor start must have you worried. With the world class players you have that you have told us about your should have at least 30 points after 10 games surely
We're only 10th and half our first eleven are out injured, including our two best centre backs, our best left back, our best striker and two midfielders. All things considered, it's about the best we could expect, I just hope Brucey does a little loan shopping shortly.
Really? Before you played us, you lot were saying you would beat anyone the way you were playing. To be fair, I think Proud is just teasing Charlie. You're only a point outside the play-offs and if you can maintain that distance even when off form or suffering with injuries, you always have a chance of the play-offs. As everyone keeps stating, there's a long way to go yet...
That was before we lost almost our entire defence and despite that, you remain the only team that have outplayed us this season. I think our squad's too thin for us to get compete at the top of the league this season, our first choice eleven is one of the best in the league, but since when did any club manage to keep their first choice eleven fit for an entire season? We need to bring in a couple of bodies to cover us and what happens in January will probably decide our season.
Seen as though we are a quarter of the way through the season now, I would say that the start of the season was about 6 games in. So if we are looking at about 6 games in (aka the start), then that means we had a better start then you. So how you can say that we have had a bad start is ridiculous.
