He deserves credit, as he has been playing a position thatâs Stuart Lewis plays in. He has had to adjust to it. Plus his passing has been good. Looks Calm and relaxed on the ball. Tracking and making the hardest effort. Is a great addition to the team and should not be complained about. One mistake against the Tesco bin bags when he slipped over how many times have other players have made mistakes.
I just can't agree. His passing is ok but he seems to lack composure and he is so painfully slow. One of the main concerns is that he is nowhere close to lewis montrose in ability, yet he has been bought as a direct replacement.
I'm in agreement with you "the blues". I was just thinking how I would have preferred the endeavour and strength of Montrose rather than Halls. Saying all that, I would not booh him as he may come good after a few games. Just look at Donnelly last year when he first came. He was a pile of pooh until he reached full fitness and then he probably was the key to our promotion.
i thought halls had a bad game on saturday but there is no way i would boo him or any other blues player,i think gw got it wrong and should have played matty b instead but thats my personal opinion.i also agree with slasher we should have kept montrose
halls may turn out to be a decent signing who knows ,we cant really judge him until we see more of him but i think thats unlikely when lewis gets back.
I had a similar conversation on the way home from the game saying that I wish Montrose had been out there. We struggled to control the midfield
I cant believe anyone is complaining about any of our players yet, especially any of our new signings. I havent been at any games this season due to living a long way away but I do know that making any negative judgements on a player's ability after 4 games of the new season is, at best hasty and at worst, foolish. Judge the performance, yes but I hope no one can seriously start comparing one player's ability to that of someone we sold at such an early point in the season. Find something constructive to say.......
Halls reminds me a little of The Doc how he fires off short passes and does that tight turn move with ball so he can have a bit more time, unfortunately he has very little of the creativity that Doherty had, and he always seems a couple of seconds too late when it comes to making a tackle, but like someone else said give him some time.
