Depends a lot on how Kranjcar play Beth. If he can drop in and give us a three in the middle, we may have a chance..........................did I just say that?

I thought the Zarate kid was unfit so didn't feature last game. Surely two to three weeks intensive training brings him up to speed. Speed...... What we are completely lacking in that team.

Hoillet is not in the squad, because he is on his way to Germany or Derby
Zarate cannot play a full (away) match yet

So to me neither were an option

Serious lack of pace in that team.

Can see Austin becoming very isolated then inevitable pressure building before a goal like Newcastle and Swansea away.

But law of averages let's hope today we get lucky. Be a touch if that luck came against Hughes

Yes you did Col...you and I are both going through that upswing of optimism that happens at 2.30 and last till about 3.09 on a Saturday afternoon.

After that I expect you and I are both down the local pet shop, looking for a cat to kick!
    I understand the emotion entirely

I was going to say we need a little solidity to hold off Stoke before we get them on the counter...but then realised I was using solidity in the same sentence as Kranky, Fer and Vargas.

10 minutes ago I had a game plan that involved us winning...now I am worried if it will be more than 3 nil to them

My pre-kick-off optimism is fading.....leave me alone!

There is so little pace in that side and I can see us getting totally battered into submission.
Where are the players who can release the pressure with some pace? On the bench!!

I do like the look of that formation...would rather see Vargas up front, but hopefully Krancjar will be able to create more for Austin from there. Whether you want Harry gone, or love him to bits, come 3pm on Saturday, lets put that to one side and not allow him to ruin watching the football team we love. COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

Looks like Harry has set us up for a draw again. That will mean yet another defeat. Hill would struggle to get in a Championship side nowadays let alone a Prem one. He should've moved Fer into the middle at the expense of Barton and played a winger on the left. This side still has no balance and will continue to struggle. No full backs, no balance, no energy, no pace! Harry is totally clueless. I give up. I've had two really busy nights, I'm off to bed.

Kranjcar - terrible delivery from our free kick - sails straight out more than 10ft above anyone's head... *sigh*

Have I missed something or is Caulker out of favour?

Looks like it - at some point I'd like to see Onouha and Caulker given a go - bit of pace desperately needed - poor game so far isn't it?
