Shame for Amos, I dont think he has done TOO much wrong. Maybe we'll still get him in on a perm as an understudy for a couple of years.
Simply comes down to the fact that Bruce had never seen him play, we were really against the clock on getting someone in so he took him on the advice of Walsh and then didnt like what he saw. You've got to say it's an error to sign someone youve never seen but I suppose on the plus side he was free.
Because we should base every signing off youtube clips. Stockdale looks like one hell of a signing based on this clip.
Very interesting that we're being linked with such big names. This guy can't be coming to sit on the bench and Amos/SAF wouldn't be happy with him being on the bench either - so presumably he's going back?
Was on loan at Ipswich last season wasn't he? Not exactly a big name, but the few times I've seen him play he's looked fantastic for the most part. No manonne or boaz but a more steadied hand than Amos. I hope Amos does go back and gets a loan elsewhere, because I think with us hes playing a bit higher standard than he's comfortable with and making schoolboy errors at a team chasing promotion to the premier league is going to land him criticism and batter his confidence, it would only take a few more before January and people will really start getting on his back big time. With that last paragraph in mind, maybe stockdales being brought in short term to take Amos out the firing line and give him some chance to work really hard on the areas hes lacking and come back better than ever. However after a good commanding performance at brum I think it would be harsh to drop him for the next match, he looked far more confident coming out to collect high balls before zigic planted his noggin on them.
