Article in paper today (The Mail!) having another dig at Cortese by regurgitating all the old stuff. Mentions Matty not at Sundays match, no one from club was there when Matty received award for best Saints player, disagreement with Benali, and finishing up with how much Nicola earns (worth every penny). Nicola doesn't seem so paranoid now, someone is out to get him. Luckily, will have no effect on how the Leihberrs view him.
I must buy one of those t-shirts I have seen advertised, bearing the words; "I think, therefore I do not buy the Daily Mail" In a way I am surprised we don't get more support from them, though. After all, our away kit features a black shirt, and they like those!
I would have thought that they were beginning to tread on sticky water. With the Daily fail it has almost turned into a hate campaign, and too much more negative comment in this way they could end up in court themselves. With a slightly higher profile next season if they continue making false statements I could see Saints taking them to task. Although in reality it would do little to diminish the mails already tarnished reputation, or for us it would be....what did you expect from that character (NC)
ah, Rupert Lowe's masonic bum chum sticks his oar in again. No doubt prompted by the dark lord himself, bitter and twisted seeing Saints successful and lots of happiness at the club right now. Just makes me laugh. Charlie Sale is a no-mark. I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire. Cortese is having the last laugh on the media and many more of the **** stirrers who just can't let go of their bitterness.
no fan of this club would care what the Daily Fail thinks or says. Personally I hate their biggoted racist right wing politics. Their vitriolic vendetta against Cortese is a disgrace, and clearly orchestrated by their little Lowe luvvie. Does any saints fan think Cortese is overpaid? I would guess the answer is NO, especially as it is up to the Liebherrs how much they pay their staff. Cortese has made the hard calls when he felt they were needed, and given our promotion who would say he called them wrong. Adkins has proven himself to be a superb manager. HE WILL BE A PREMIERSHIP MANAGER WITHIN 3 YEARS. HE WILL STILL BE SAINTS MANAGER IN 5 YEARS TIME.
Link http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ar...ale-Hard-tell-Saints-sinners-Southampton.html why not reply to it? Channon I think you meant not buy not "but" the Daily Mail!
There was a bit in Private Eye not long ago about Charlie Sale. He apparently turned up at some awards function, but wasn't on the guest list, so he pulled the very typical "don't you know who I am!?" tantrum at the organisers. Says it all.
Yeh well at the end of the day it is Liebherr and Cortese that has got us promoted so i coudn't give a damn what they think about him! I'd rather have someone who is a bit mean or tough and gets us promotion than a soft sod who is all nicey nicey but gets us nowhere and someone who sells all our best players.I love cortese! he sticks up for southampton and he doesn't let anyone walk all over him or the saints and i have every confidence that he does everything in the best interests for southampton football club.We all love le tiss but i have seen and heard many things coming from him that insults cortese so to me it is no surprise that he wouldn't want le tiss involved in things, matty should realise that he is on a national tv programme and his views get aired across the country and if he insults people he shouldn't be surprised when it backfires!
Nicola has made some very strong minded decisions and the majority of them have come to fruition. He has shown the football world that we are no longer anybodies patsies. Long may he reign.
I have heard that a lot of the negative stuff the fail prints actually comes from pizzed off former players because they are not get the respect they feel they deserve from the new owners (I’m not going to say who they and their flunkies are here but it won’t take too much of a guess) These sort of things always go round when you put top sportsmen and top businessmen together as they tend to have great egos and great self belief in themselves, after all without those “qualities” they would not of made in the first place
We all think Saints are the greatest and biggest club in the world. Nicola thinks we're bigger than even that..he won't be looked down on by clubs higher up the pecking order. The article mentions that Tiss had problems getting tickets..I've never had trouble getting tickets, but then I pay for them.
