All very well getting the strikers in but if there's no-one providing the service for them we'll only be marginally better off. I'm a bit concerned there doesn't appear to be a playmaker on the horizon...
Isn't Diatribe or whatever his name is a midfielder? Plus having a rejuvenated Buzz is like having a new signing no?

If Sparky lets Buzz have a run in the team he might be useful cover until Faurlin makes it back. Same goes for Adel who will need a couple of games to get back his mojo. The Nancy Boy is more defensive apparently but you never know how we will be set up and he might get a few assists rather than just sticking the boot in. Interesting that we don't mention Barton much in our new plans. <lastminutedealtogetridofBartonsmiley>
Nah we need Barton, hopefully he'll raise his game now that we're a squad of nearly nigh on all internationals
Buzz picked up an injury against Chelsea, not sure who will be in midfield tomorrow, but we have enough options for the season unless Pienaar comes,
Diakate (spelling?) will fit into the Centre with Barton. Traore / Taiwo will play on the left, one will play left back and RM will be SWP. That leaves buz, Mackie, Derry and even Tarrabt as subs but I think Tarrabt will be used as an impact player upfront.
Barton, Taarabt, Buzsaky, SWP, Diakite, Derry, Smith and Faurlin once he returns. Just how much room is there in midfield?
oh yeah, smithy can do a job on the wing as well so there is another one. Definitely another cover. Would love Piennar to come but its not going to happen but i think we have enough now in that deparment. Still hoping Zamora gets signed up though!
Moan moan ****ing moan!! What is it with some of you. Look where we are in the league. It is a minor miracle that we're attracting the calibre of players that we are. With Taarabt hopefully playing his part, we will have some creativity in midfield along with some steel from Diakite!!
Interested to hear what you say, Col. Taarabt's going to have to adapt and be useful in a 4-4-2 or he's an expensive luxury. Hope Sparky can develop that side of his game
Agree superhoop were well short in centre midfield only derry and barton fit,we need cover now.also zamora is a crap signing 5 million and he is 31 what a waste of money would of rather had rodellga,fingers crossed for pianeer & hoilett sorry about the spelling
Pleased with our business so far and to attract some of the names we have. If I was being greedy I would also have liked to see another CB - Bassong or Samba and a wide midfielder - like Pienaar. Then we really would be set to go!
We have made some great signings, but I agree we still look short right now in central midfield. Hope Diakite is available soon, but another CM and a CB would have been perfect.
I agree that MH's biggest problem is where to play Taarabt. If we get Zamora, I could see him playing 4-4-2 with Zamora and Cisse up front. That would make it difficult to fit in Adel, as I was hoping he may play him as the 2nd forward. He may play Adel on the left of the midfield 4, but that really isn't his position is it? He could do this: Kenny Young Onouha Ferdinand Taiwo Barton Diakite Taarabt SWP Cisse Zamora Which would become a 4-1-3-2...that could definitely work imo!! My team would be: Kenny Young Onouha Ferdinand Taiwo Barton Diakite SWP Taarabt Traore Cisse But MH won't play that!! Hard to see where Adel fits into a 4-4-2...but then, as previously said....where does any creativity come from?

Hleb has been released form Barca so hes available on a free, hes someone we could offer a 6 month contract with our option to extend it for a year.
