    Two weeks tomorrow Pompey play their first pre-season friendly; against Havant & Waterlooville at Westleigh Park.

    Is it about time we had a sweepstake as to who will be in goal for Pompey on the 14th July?

    We could always use the statue that our neighbours are so keen for us to have. As long as it's big enough and wide enough to cover the mouth of the goal that should be fine <doh>

    Luke Daniels on a season long loan from WBA appears to be Appy's choice at the moment. Well, all his previous choices from The Hawthorns have been good up to now.........

    Slovenian goalkeeper Darjan Curanovic admits his 'dreams have come true' after revealing that he is to link up with Portsmouth ahead of the new season.

    Curanovic played for Triglav in his homeland last season and is now looking forward to the challenge of playing in a new country.

    Portsmouth have yet to confirm the news but Curanovic says he will meet up with the League One club later in the month and then look to make an impression on their pre-season tour.

    "My dreams came true," he told Slovenian daily Ekipa.

    "I'm heading to England on 14th July and two days later I will travel with my new team-mates to Spain.

    "I just can't hide my happiness."

    Ben Haim will be in goal for all the friendly matches. Chained between the posts in hopes that a particularly wicked shot removes one of Pompeys biggest stumbling blocks :p

    Heading to England on July 14th... So Appy MUST have another keeper lined up, surely!? Otherwise who the hell will be shot stopping against Havent and Waterlooville!?
