    ....but names will never hurt me, as the saying goes. I knew that Hull had applied to the Premier League to have the club name changed. However, browsing around ahead of our Christmas fixtures I came across this -

    " Official Website of the Tigers - Hull City AFC latest news" { http://www.hullcitytigers.com/ }

    So they've kind of jumped the gun.

    As I undestand things, this name change is a branding/marketing exercise and we've seen it already with football stadiums. Is this first of many? How would you feel if Shad Khan took an executive decision to change our Club name to Fulham Jaguars??

    Personally, I'd hate it. Hull are a bit unfortunate in as much as their colours are that of a tiger and one of their kits played on that, I seem to remember - and isn't it their nickname? Anyway, with black and white he's a bit more constricted. What animals are Black & White - Panda Bears? Zebra's? Neither of which give the impression of ferocity and toughness which is what the Tigers bit is using. The Fulham Panda's is hardly going to have them quakeing in their boots up at Old Trafford, is it?

    Khan was quizzed about this when he took over and stated he had absolutely no intentions of doing it. I can't see any Fulham fan being OK with it.

    I feel sorry for the Hull fans, the comments from the chairman have been a bit out of line regarding the 'City Till We Die' group, saying: "They can die as soon as they want".

    I'd hate to see this carry on at Fulham. Hopefully Shad Khan has more sense.

    I don't think the website completely formalises the name change, but shows its close. It's still got the City and AFC somewhere in there, think the new guy wants rid of both so it would just be Hull Tigers. Personally don't see the problem, it's a business and it has to be a business, run in the right way, otherwise clubs run out of money and players might start fixing matches. If we became Fulham Warriors I'd be sad for a moment but ultimately the experience doesn't change. I still meet my dad and brother, shell out for a ticket and couple beers, and watch lads play football.

    Hull City's owner may be set on change the team name, but at least there's no statue of MJ.
