Yet another slow start sees Argyle going behind to an early Stevenage goal....with a second being added before half-time.

Adams changed things around at half-time by bringing on Tanner and Threlkeld for Mellor and Brunt and this improved the situation..... leading to an early Tanner goal but that was all that Argyle managed and Plymouth lost their first away match.

Just not enough control early on caught out Plymouth for the second time in a week.....leading to consecutive 2-0 situations......this time Stevenage kept Argyle down to only one goal.

With Leyton Orient coming badly unstuck at Exeter (4-0) and Portsmouth yet again drawing we dropped only one place to third.....next week we have yet another difficult away game at Wycombe Wanderers.

Plymouth need to get to grips with allowing the opposition a flying start.....they weathered the storm in their first league game at Wimbledon and then took control.

With Reid and Simpson out injured Plymouth's bench looked under strength.....with Adams feeling he needed a change around at half-time....his final change was Tyler Harvey and that was left to last minute.....injuries mean Argyle's smallish squad cannot bring quality on all the time.....this doesn't bode well for a long season.

Adams has them playing enterprising, exciting football which entertains when it works. There have though been stages in most games when we've been under the cosh. This time we didn't get away with it. He needs to find a way to stop it happening or to control it.

Let's get this in perspective, we're still 3rd after the best start this club has had in many a season and we're bound to lose 1 or 2 now and then. It may be a rough ride but so far it's been fun...
