I see Everton can't stump up the £6 million fee for Steven Pienaar, who contributed massively to their strong 2nd half of last season. We were linked with him in January, could be a possible target again?... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...ars-price-fear-over-dream-Everton-return.html
Excellent player, got a bit humbled by thinking he was better than Everton and then not being able to break into the Spurs team. Should be more grounded, is very direct and links up well with players. I also like his level of hustle - he seems in a rush to make things happen as opposed to some that stand on the ball or play it around the back and resort to a training match pace. Needs to play regularly to get the best from him (like most players) but would tie up the left side nicely should our resident Moroccan decide to jump ship.
He might only be available because Everton don't want to pay Spurs a fee of £6 million. He's currently on £60,000 a week at Spurs. All this, for 30 year old, may not be the best investment in the world. At that level, I think I'd pass: any cheaper and he'd probably choose to go to Everton where he has history and is highly rated.
