I must admit, i've found myself repecting him this week going by the interviews he's done i hate to admit it but at least he's been loyal to you although he did reject the chance to join Cheslea in the summer of 2005.

Do you respect any of the United Players ?

Rooney to be fair, if only for his determination and will to win! Scholes, class player both on and off the pitch.

Agreed, both of the would improve England but that's me being biased towards the United players.

I agree about Scholes Shanks but Rooney has an aura of horribleness about him(ala Joey Barton).

How can United fans respect Rooney when he held your club up for ransom for a huge pay increase? He's a greedy, money grabbing tit...

Scholes however, is a complete professional and a class player too.
Giggs on the pitch, but certainly not off it. Cheating on your wife, with your brother's wife is low by anyone's standards.

To be fair to him, he only go booked once this season, which is a great achievement, he's calmed down alot in my opinion, maybe because he's had a babay and has started to mature.

Wasn't he a daddy when he got sent off in the qualifiers?

The twat has built up his rep for being a twat over the length of his Utd career and **** sticks.

I sort of feel the same about Rooney but I can't help admiring his work ethic on the pitch, a lot like Suarez in that regard, one thing you can't accuse Rooney of is lacking heart or effort in fact possibly too much for his own and the teams good at times!

  12. I think all players deserve respect for what they achieved (ie, become a professional in a top league) but their personalities are somewhat questionable at times.

From Utd, I respect Rio, Beckham, Scholes and Neville (since he became a pundit). All role models for the younger generations <ok>

Being a good footballer and a twat are not mutually exclusive so I reckon Rooney fits the bill for that, but as the OP was about respecting Gerrard off the pitch then that lets Wazza out. I don't believe he's a thug in the mould of Barton or Terry, though- just an annoyingly gobby bastard.

Good for you ;) must admit I actually hate the guy for the most part but credit where due his on-field attitude is a credit.

Probably Valencia and Vidic. Because they don't really piss me off in the same way other Man Utd players do.

It's the club, you can't like any of them while they are there. I've found myself like Sparky since he got old and unemployed. I even wouldn't punch Roy Keane in the face if I saw him now...he's still an all out ****, but I wouldn't make his face a bloody mess of teeth, hair and flesh.

Last year I may have said Giggs from the current squad, but since we've all found out what a total and utter scum merchant he is, that burns the bridges with anyone else at the club.

I don't care what sense he speaks, I still can't like Ratboy, especially since he works for Murdoch. Just because he sounds like he knows what he is talking about, he still loathes Liverpool to his core, so the chuffing tard can die in a burning pit still.

    Does that help?
