I think that Caulker will be in the squad next season, if he does well on loan this time out. He still wouldn't take up a place in the 25 man squad, either.
Firmly agree with that too PNP. It was suggested on 606 and agreed as a possibility by the aforementioned poster, that KN might just be a very good Championship player, but only an average PL player, at the time he was completely off the radar, so seemed a fair assumption. I've also heard attitude mentioned, I really don't know tbh, as for the age thing, Gibbs and Rafael are only young, he's older than Bale too, Kyle's 23 in a few months.
23 is still pretty young for a defender. If Walker manages to take the right-back spot over the course of the coming season, then Naughton might still have a future at Spurs, as Corluka would probably want to move on.
You are right, 23 is still young for a defender, but you'd have to say this coming season is really important for him, he should be around the first team wouldn't you think, and if he's not, I think its unlikely he will. Mind you, most people were writing Rose off, who's been a bit of a revelation at LB, so who knows!
I thought that he was going to QPR on loan, but I'm not sure where that stands at the moment. A year in the first team of a Premier League club would put an end to any questions about his ability, one way or another. Time to sink or swim, I think.
Benny also took a long time to really show his quality. I'd not heard of any problems with Naughton's attitude but I did hear that he got very homesick when he first arrived.
Naughton's 23 in November, Solid. Players qualify to play for the U21s if they're below that age when each tournament starts. In order to play in the current U21 European Championship, players have to have been born on or after the 1st of January, 1988.
