That was actually pretty interesting, cheers Cromer!

Slightly odd how he criticised Hughton for playing Holt continuously when he wasn't scoring, but then praised Jackett for doing the exact same thing with him. A touch of double standards there. Otherwise though, comes across as a decent guy, and it makes me more interested to hear Hughton's side of his sale.

I wouldn't think there is much of a mystery. The club had probably realised that they weren't going to land Hooper in January and had given up on bringing anyone else in; so Morison was needed. Then pretty much at the very last minute an (unlikely) deal for Becchio became possible, changing the position. The Becchio mystery is more interesting to me than any Morison mystery! <ok>

Don't see how you can say that. Morison had scored 9 goals in the premier league, whereas Becchio hadn't spent 9 minutes of his life playing at that level.
The whole swap thing was inexplicably handled, makes no sense and has done neither player any favours.
Truth is, we'll never know, a bit like Lambert's refusal to acknowledge the NCFC board at the recent Villa match.
Anyhow, it's all history - unless your name is Luciano or Steve, but I thought it was a decent enough 'snapshot' of S.M. to post here. <ok>

Well sort of history, Becchio is still our player.

Didn't mean to question your posting the interview cromer. Just saying that to me the bigger mystery is why we haven't seen more of Becchio, a player I rate. Shortly before he signed for us he was quoted as saying he was very happy at Leeds and didn't want a move. That suggests to me that the swap was maybe driven more from the Leeds end than our end, though once it became a real possibility CH must obviously have favoured it. <ok>
