He has to start on sunday if he's recovered from last nights game. He always seems to play well against a cardiff defence that dont no how to control him. 3. Points at cardiff on sunday would be such a massive confidence boost.come on city

I wouldn't change the team from the Brighton match, there is no good reason to. I'd be very happy for Howard to be on the bench though, he's always been a different option to what we've already got.

How was Danns last night btw? Had an effect or flattered to decieve?

I think Stevie will be on the bench for the game but Sven will be aware that he certainly knows how to disrupt the Cardiff defence. I have a feeling that Beckford will open his account on Sunday but if it hasn't happened by 70 mins then I suspect Sven will mix it up with Stevie. Schlupp also deserves more time on the pitch - for me he is the most exciting home grown (OK he's not from the Saffron Lane but you know what I mean) prospect since Matt Piper ..

As much as Howard always seems to have a good 'un against us it is worth remembering that 3 of our back 4 will be different on Sunday in all liklihood!

Still, he'd be useful for you off the bench if there's room for him (in more ways than 1) :emoticon-0136-giggl:emoticon-0148-yes:

Agree with that, sometimes I think we'd be better off having no one in goal at all than have Weale in there ;)

^ oh yeah i forgot- who else was on the bench then?! But seriously how many times do you need a sub keeper, like once a season tops? You will probably more than make back the points by having the extra sub.

plus sometimes an unrecognised keeper can help- causes them to physcologically shoot on sight from distance, that can be saved easily. And lets face it, if its from distance weale wouldnt get it anyway ;)

I have stood in for emergency keeper for my old team once before.

Ended up keeping a clean sheet and not having to save a decent shot due to them all blazing over etc.

Annoyibng how Weale had 3 penalties down the centre, he should be doing much better than he is.

Im keeper for our 5 a side, RB for my halls and Striker for our halls!! I often go in goal in 11 a side and if people see me change in it often helps as they think im not a keeper, and just shoot from anywhere! Who knows what may have been... i had GK trials with city as a kid (i didnt get in, some were VERY good), but maintained a high standard of playing... then i stopped growing and at 5 foot 8 1/2 its difficult in full goals, but much easier in 5 a side and you can get down quicker!!

I too would go without the sub keeper. In all likelihood, the only way we'd lose Kasper again is if he re-enacted Forest away and I doubt he'll do that again.

Same team as vs Brighton for me:

    Schmeichel

    Peltier - Mills - Bamba - Konchesky

    Wellens

    Abe - Fernandes

    King

    Beckford - Vassell

    Subs:
    St Ledger
    Johnson
    Danns
    Dyer
    Schlupp

I'd rather play Schlupp than Howard. But best to stick to the team that beat Brighton.
