He's been good and deserves his place, but as a fanbase we don't half exaggerate these things.

We weren't shipping goals before. The difference is in attack. We took a chance at Palace and Liverpool and got the first goal. If we'd missed those chances we'd inevitably have lost.

Yep. But then the world sees Hull City in a very different way from how we do on here.

I disagree. The difference is that we were losing to daft goals as teams had worked out that to score all they had to do was shoot from outside the box as Greggsy is having a bit of a mare over these.

You only have to look at tye league table to see that defence isn't the problem and attack is. I can't believe it's even being discussed.

People discussing football on a football forum is a novel idea I'll grant you that. What was I thinking.

OK, I can't believe anyone thinks conceding goals has been our problem this season...

The back line looks far more solid and confident with Harper behind them. For me he always seems to be in the right place at the right time so he's not having to make 'saves' as much as just collecting the ball. Experience and a calm attitude I'd guess.

McGregors save ratio appeared to be extremely low , That coupled with we conceded a lot of goals from outside the box - made it feel like he was often to blame - despite the errors in defence

Greggsy was letting the odd sloppy goal in and we have lost a few key games by a goal or two. I'm surprised you haven't noticed this already.

He let a couple of poor ones in recently yes, but the reason we are where we are is that our attack without Jelavic is generally absolutely awful. I say generally because the last two games have been about the only exceptions to that.

I like Harper. But the goalie hasn't won us 6 points on his own ffs. NDoye and Dawson taking their chances was the key difference from the last game we lost.

To be fair, a fair few, myself included, had him as mom or top 3 on Tuesday, he's not the sole difference but he has certainly helped in these last 2 games

It's a team game, and Harper coming in for McGregor has clearly helped over the past two games. He's looked secure, made good decisions, and we've kept two clean sheets.

Of course City have struggled to score goals and haven't exactly been leaking them by the dozen - but that doesn't mean there weren't improvements to be made in defence. These two wins are down to improvements all over the pitch, not just in goal or up top.

I don't disagree with you, clearly the attack has been an issue. However if we aren't scoring many goals, instantly we are relying on our defence and any mistakes are highlighted. Mcgregor has been at fault for quite a few goals, however if our attack was scoring it wouldn't be noticed as much. However if we where scoring it doesn't make those mistakes disappear.

Those poor recent ones he let in have costs us vital points. Points we could have/should have in the bank now. I love Greggsy but he should have been dropped weeks ago.

We were certainly beginning to, we shipped EIGHT in the last three games that McGregor played in.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, especially to those that he makes extremely nervous, me included, we have recorded two clean sheets and gained six points since he was dropped.

More and more I felt that McGregor was an accident waiting to happen, and often it did.

Conceding stupid goals has been as big a problem as non existent attack and zero service.

McGregor has been at fault for a large number of those. He has been dire.

I think we'd have lost against Liverpool with McGregor in goal, Harper dealt with stuff that I'd have expected McGregor to cock up.

Harper's made a far bigger difference than I thought he would.
