I don't get their logic either, seems crazy to me, they know they are a yoyo team, that's been their own ambitions for the last 4-5 seasons, because I certainly don't think they've shown any seriousness towards what is required in the Prem. So it will be Smith now I expect, so I'm struggling to see what they've gained compared to Farke. They've achieved as high as they are likely to achieve, but that's no fault of the previous manager, just the numpties in charge of the club, because I really don't see where they are going with this.
Makes sense then that they're apparently looking at of all people, the recently sacked Dean Smith. Which seems bizarre as the narrative was that they sacked Farke with someone lined up to replace him. If they're going for a man who was JUST sacked they obviously don't have a ****ing clue.
They don't have a clue mate. I've not looked on the Norwich board but only knows what the fans must think of this craziness.
I'm very happy with him, guy seems a class act. That Shalke bloke who rejected Spurs wanted it apparently but he comes across as a massive ****.
Some words going around that Lampard was in discussions before Farke was sacked and has just rejected it last minute. What a ****
Yeah he’s a really nice bloke that’s never been in question but you’re saying you’re chuffed with his appointment? Really? His last job was limping Bournemouth back into the Championship after spending £175m net and being the 9th highest net spenders in the league for the period they were in the prem. Given all the hype about your new owners and all that, he’s a big wet fart of a choice imo.
I like his mentality about the game, he is saying all the things you want to hear. You go from a fat slob who rocked up to training 11 or 12 in the afternoon, only wanted to work 3 days a week to a young guy who turns up daily at 6am, stays until late into the evening as he's watching the kids play and having a word with them. You can't say anything else than its a massive improvement. I reckon if you replaced Bournemouth AFC with Aston Villa or Everton more people would have a point. They spent but their bench was ****ing dire and they had a **** season with injuries after 5 years of being in the premier league. We overhype managers after one good spell and completely dismiss them when we see it go wrong in England, it's a tradition. I think it's a good appointment, I'd of been extremely disappointed if we nicked Rafa of you lot or Martinez came in.
Fair point about some of the injury issues he faced in that last season, but they just looked weak mentally to me & his sides have never been defensively solid. He might do a great job, he might not, like I said before, I’ve always taken a bit more interest in him than others as Kenwright wanted him at Everton. I’ll watch your games with interest tbh.
It all hinges on the Brentford game for me, if we can come out and get a W, we have a great chance of pressing on and climbing up the league. If after 2 weeks of full prep time, all his efforts and we go out and get a bore draw or a loss, we are pretty much down I think.
It’s a massive game for you for sure, I don’t think it’s quite as B&W as that but he needs 7 points minimum from the next 12 by my maths, for you to stand a realistic chance of staying up.
Fancy a name bet? Username until the end of the season. Newcastle to still be below saints in 5 games
Id be making that bet with us having a 60% chance of relegation Make the bet with the **** making such claims
You’re about Evens so it’s a great time for a forum bet. If I had to have a real bet on someone at the current odds I’d probably take Leeds at 6/1.
