    He was a scouser, but he hated the place, so came to live in Manchester United, who had a great football team called Manchester.

    He was a better player than anything Liverpool could dish up at the time and it still stands to this day.

    His sister is married to my ex-best mate. Bit of a tosser really. Certainly doesn't hate Liverpool. His brother Kevin was a top bloke, but died way before his time. Tragic. Family originally from Norris Green.

    We had the opportunity to sign him but didn't. Shanks thought he was too small. Uncustomary error by the great man.

    He was a great little player for us, loved him.

    Unfortunately he was one of many who got ****ed up on England duty and handed back crocked, never to be the same again.
