Anybody who has studied body language will accept instantly that Stephen's actions following the foul on himself and before he was carded , demonstrates unequivocally , his total and rightful unacceptance of the Swansea players ( plural ) attack on him and the ref's flawed conclusion of events , and most importantly , that at the same time he had no intention of exacting retribution. He deliberately avoided forceful contact with the Swansea player ( Cork ? ) Stephen merely showed his displeasure at his treatment but never intended to retaliate , because he knew that would lead to a red card.
