simpson scoreing , calvin andrews scores for palarse and mcqouid playing well ,is there test procedures in place for drug testing ?
Did you read that the defence turned off for 20mins when 3-1 up? Giving away two goal leads still happening then which is concerning as still shows problems that need addressing. @sealion - striker signings and some others (Friend for instance) have been pretty poor but think the scouts/backroom staff must take some responsibility too in finding the right players and maybe KJ needs better staff. He did sign Punch and Andros on loan - Punch scored 5 goals in a month or so and nothing has to be said about Andros - the only negative was they were just loan signings.
Ulster Lion - I agree that Punch and Andros were good loan signings. Abdou,Trotter,Henry,Mkandawire and Bouazza are okay as well. However Punch and Andros were not signed as strikers, nor are any of the okay signings. The main point I was trying to make is that KJ seems to have a blind spot where strikers are concerned because Morison was the only decent signing he has made who has scored goals. That isn't the scouts/backroom staff's fault because KJ, as Manager, has the final say on who is signed. Take Calvin Andrew for example. Apparently KJ signed him on loan last season based on seeing him scoring against us in a reserve match. Le Fondre was mentioned for months as being available in our price range but KJ said he wasn't interested in him. Yet he tried to sign Ryan Taylor who scored 20 goals in 100 appearances from Rotherham who Le Fondre played for. I think KJ has done wonders for our club since 2007 but still think his judgement is at fault where goalscorers are concerned.
Does seem that way - even Moro was touch and go (excuse the pun - more like kick and run ). We are short of options for good forwards and even a scoring midfield and defence also need to chip in with goals. Going to be a tough season but could sense that when we signed no one to speak of over the summer.
