any of you stattos know if yesterdays 41 goals in 8 matches was a top flight record? there must have been something in the air, as all these multi millionaire defenders seem to have lost the plot yesterday. i first thought it was because of exeptional strike forces, but the mags got 4 against arsenal, with a poor strikeforce (not taking anything away from you before you start, was the game of the season). blackpool are hardly world reknown stars and got 3 away at everton, wigan another 4, and so it goes on, even our own game produced 5 goals, with bad defending and goalkeeping. anyone got any clues to why this happened, have we been takien over by alien lifeforces? whatever it was it made for a great days action (especially for neutrals) i watched 3 games our own, good game to watch shame about the outcome the mags, great game to watch, shame about the outcome man u, great game to watch, brilliant outcome, even watched it again this morning, well done mm
According to what I've read 41 goals in one day was a record for the EPL. There were also 8 penalties awarded again a record and 7 of them resulted in goals which is another record.
