Based on the average points needed to stave off relegation in 22nd place are as follows. The information is from 22nd spot and the final relegation spot from 2005/06 to 2010/11 Average points 45.16 Average points/game slightly less than 1.00 Average goal difference -22 Based on our current position we will need a minimum 1 point per game ( however Leicester were relegated with 52 points in 2007/08) Reachable methinks with a rocket strategically placed by DM.
inver its great to see stats showing an average over all one stat that doesnt seem to fail is that a team in the bottom 5 at game 18 is guaranteed almost to to finish bottom, take out an odd instance and it is a team in bottom 3......... Its not as easy on here like the old 606 site where you could readily check back on your previous posts but I did do a forcast for this season at game 18 with the expected points for safety based on fixtures to come ALSO this season potentially only 12 teams can do the double over us....check back if you wish, but statisically not many ever do!!!!
Scary stat jgf2. Let's hope the new year brings us better fortune and a Happy New Year to all City fans.
Mike, studying the stats from the coventry game we totally anhialated them - except that we couldn't hit the F@@kin onion bag with 19 shots on target, but they did with one of their 5.
THATS BEEN OUR STORY FOR THE PAST 4 SEASONS, its why we lose points in last 10 mins or by the odd goal we do not score enough.....................
Under GJ, it was US who were getting the winning goal in the 90th minute! Its funny how we don't seem to be able to get the right balance - with GJ we had a superb defence but we couldn't score and had no width. Since then we have probably the best wide-men in the NPC - better than some prem teams too, but we STILL can't score and our defence is awful.
