So is Lovenkrand going out on the right wing with Ba & Best up to???

Be interesting to see how they line up.

Good to see he has made changes but still look a pretty strong line up.

Seems like a very strong team. Bet they thump us 4 - 0 or something now.

I want us to play a stron side but surely Harper deserves a game.

Also do you know who's on the bench? I want to see the likes of Vuckic and Ferguson to get on the pitch.

would prefer to see kadar(is he injured) play than colo but a strong line up one question why didn't we go for the mrs doubtfire formation of 4-6-0 <whistle>

    Assumptions:
Ba will be on the right wing, or Gosling will inherit Barton's role.
Kadar is not as great a prospect as we thought, hence his disclusion.
Pardew is treating the cup seriously, good to see.

Now I just want to see the bench.

HArper is injured, Willo deserves a match, and why isn't fergie at LB? FFS, a derby goal doesn't mean you can still play out of position. Fergie deserves a chance unless he isn't match fit. Kadar isn't fancied by PArdew. Cabaye is sexy. Best is mint. Ba Ba Black Sheep(no racism intended). the end

I think the fact Pardew takes the cups seriously is my favourite thing about him.

  13. There's nothing wrong with Lover. He's **** as a striker, but as an overall player he's quite a good player. Good ball control, pace, dribbling and passing. Decent crossing as well.

He's our worst striker, but as an overall player he's better than Shola and Best IMO.

In my opinion, when we play him, we should play him as an impact player in the attacking mid role, where he'll get involved more and do more passing and link up play. He'll do nothing for us standing by the back four, he's better mixing in with the midfielders and setting up players, and also popping up with the odd goal.

I'm quite happy seeing Raylor keep his place at LB, after all he needs all the practice he can get when we are inevitably left with him all season when we fail to bring a LB in.

Agree with this, and also he has a presence in the dressing room. 'Pete' is mentioned quite a few times in interviews and stuff, so ive a feeling that he is a good man to have

It is a strong side. Got a feeling Ba could have a good game. Looking forward to seeing Marveaux for the first time, people seem to say he performed well in his run-out last week. Might get a cheeky fiver on him for 1st goal.

He offers nothing to the play, hes been consistently below average all last season, we exciting prospects on the bench in the shape of Vuckic and Sammy.... having him playing is just hampering their progress IMO.

Lovenkrands is annonymous and chips in with what a goal every 10 games, and thats if its on a plate. Sometimes not even then.

Wouldn't say he's are worst striker that goes to Ranger followed up by Ameobi.

I think he is an alright striker who can make intelligent runs in and around the box.

Depending on how the match pans out can see some of the younger subs getting some match time.

Good strong side. Hopefully we'll see Vuckic play.

Wouldn't have played Colo mind. Need to protect him.

  20. Well you obviously don't see it, but a lot of us see what Lover has to offer. His work rate is excellent, he chases players down, he scored 6 goals last season and got 6 good assists. His passing is good, his vision good and his ball control and pace are good also.

He's not a fantastic player, but he's a better overall player than Shola and Best IMO.

The thing is, we already have enough attacking mids, so i don't see Lover getting much game time.

Shola is 6ft 2/3 and gets dominated in the air by 5ft 11/6ft CB's, spoils good moves by constantly getting caught offside and fouling players for no reason. He only scores vs the ****test teams. Last season he could only scored against the bottom 6, apart from his 2 goals vs Sunderland.

Shola is only slightly more effective as a striker, but isn't nearly as technical as Lover.
