In fairness he did have an impact when he came on yesterday.. He should have been given more time (come on about 70/75mins) but we shouldn't start him. The same with Ranger.

What's the latest on Enrique? Or is it just that Phil Thompson thing on youtube? Not really relevant as I dont believe a word he says anyway, let alone a "done deal".


Maybe Kuqi should start if we want 2 up front, and keep Ranger for his impact... Or start Ranger and use Kuqi as impact. <hmm>

I think Kuqi's experience (and the fact he isnt as slow as his age suggests) puts him in better stead for 90 minutes than Ranger, who needs to develop on loan somewhere but can still be used as a sub because of his strength and power.

If Shola is out and if we want a 4-4-2, I'd go for Kuqi and Lover. Ranger on at 60 mins.

If Shola is back , Shola and Lovenkrands with Kuqi coming on in the 70th minute.

Give the man longer than 10 minutes to prove himself!

 

Ranger looked good as a sub, everyone wants him to start, he starts, he plays ****, no one wants him to ever start again.

Thats it! I wouldn't mind giving a player chance after chance to prove himself if he gave 100% all the time. Ranger had his chance and if he played poor but gave 100% I'd give him another. Personally I don't want to see Ranger play again, he didn't give 100% so why should he play again? When you pull on a Newcastle United shirt and go out onto the field you have to give 100%, it has to mean everything to you and you have to have passion for the club. I'm sorry but if you don't meet that criteria as far as I'm concerned you can **** off. Back to Kuqi, as you said he always does his best for the club during his brief appearances and that is enough to warrant a start.

 

Kuqi looked interested ( the only one that did ) and put himself about for the short time he was on the pitch. He couldn't do much more than that. If the others aren't prepared to try, then he should certainly be given the chance to.

 

Kuqi to start no matter if Shola is back or not.

If Shola is back, then a 4-4-2. If not, then 4-5-1, and hit the ball up to Kuqi every chance we get. It may not be pretty, but it'll do more than playing Ranger...

No way. He's emergency cover. Start Shola and Lover if both are fit. Ranger & Kuqi to come on as impact subs if things aren't going our way. **** it.. how much we've missed Best eh?

 

Imagine how badly we'd be doing if he was still considered to be useless!!!
