I came past Staplewood this morning and i noticed that the main contractor double gates are open again and the tower crane has moved position, so i wondered if the training ground building work has started again.

Supposed to be changes to details. I think Cortese has just seen the FA's centre at St George's Park. He won't tolerate anywhere being better than Staplewood<laugh>

It is a tower crane Fran and the boom was turned around in relation to where it was last week + the lights on the drivers cab were on - if they were removing it then it is quite a big job to dismantle a tower crane to take it away. Anyway we will keep an eye on it - i live fairly close to Staplewood and drive past it quite often.

I have it on good authority that staplewood building work has slowed up because of an unforseen problem with the indoor dome , this has delayed SOME aspects of the building work but not all and it will ALL be completed as planned .

I heard the builders didn't build the foundations for the dome strong enough, so they have to strengthen it.

I guess by the lack of postings that there has been no progress? Under 18's are training in La Manga enjoying some sunshine and a 3 2 success over Real Murcia.

Building work is continuing, the large brown envelope from the Caribbean lone shark company was received in Asda carpark in Totton a few nights ago. An exchange was made, with Saints also taking ownership of a Jack Russell puppy at the same time.

Tea break over.I also noticed as well as a crane some 'beware danger' signs in the area where our defence undertake their training,

Some strong barriers might be more effective.

Better than nought though it would be a remarkable feat if we let that many in.
