I know the Refs have a difficult job on the pitch when you have players trying to cheat. But the standard of match officials seems to have been poor this season. At times matches have turned on poor decisions, it's becoming a bit of a pantomime. Is it about time in the Premier they are given help with Technology, or should it be left alone as being part of the game ? I'm in favour of the cheating being cut out with players liable to a ban if found cheating by video replay after the game, respective of what the Refs report says. Some sort of help has to be given by the 4th Official (with maybe instant video playback), at the moment he is just a waste of space, keeping angry managers in check.
I think goal-line technology should be brought in, and I'd agree with retrospective bans on cheats and stuff like off-the-ball incidents that don't get noticed (like Rooney on McCarthy a while ago).
